The Show Must Go On: Drive In Movies opening across Massachusetts
During its peak in the 1950’s, nearly 90 Drive-in movies operated throughout Massachusetts. While only 4 remain permanently operational, drive in movies are making a comeback due to the “new normal” of social distancing. Many towns and businesses are opening pop-up locations to bring the magic of the Drive-in to a new generation of fans.

Wellfeet
Operated since the drive-in heyday of the 1950’s the Wellfleet Drive-in is one of only about 300 left in the country. Enjoy a double feature on their huge screen from the comfort of your car!
Hyannis
Starting on July 3rd, Drive-in movies are coming to Main Street, Hyannis. On six consecutive Friday nights at a parking lot at the corner of Main Street and High School Road, family friendly movies will be featured on an inflatable screen.
Proceeds from the first three weeks will benefit the Cape Cod Resilience Fund, and proceeds from the last three weeks will benefit the Hyannis Film Festival.

East Falmouth
In mid-July, the Cape Cod Fairgrounds will be opening a drive-in in partnership with Vivid Event Production! Details are forthcoming and will be updated on their Facebook page. Be sure to suggest your favorite movie that might be shown!
Mendon and Marshfield
Set on nearly 16 acres, the Mendon Twin Drive-in has been showing some of our favorite films for over 63 years.
The owners opened a second location in Marshfield in late June. The drive-in is held at the site of the Marshfield Fair and can hold up to 250 cars taking into account social distancing.
