The Moby Show: “A Whale’s Tale” | New Bedford | Wed-Sun throughout July
Gallery X is featuring works inspired by or related to Herman Melville’s epic, “Moby Dick”, whaling, whales, and seafaring 12-3pm. Opening reception is Saturday, July 3rd from 5 to 8pm. Sculptures exhibit in the garden of the WhaleHouse, Herman Melville’s sister’s home at 100 Madison (SW Corner of Orchard St).

Historic Pub Crawl | Faneuil Hall Boston | Tuesdays in July
Revolutionary ideas may have come from speeches at Faneuil Hall or a meeting of the Sons of Liberty, but their courage and inspiration came from Boston’s taverns. Let an 18th-century costumed guide lead you on a Historic Pub Crawl and visit the real headquarters where the American Revolution was brewed – Blackstone Block. At each of the four pubs you will visit on your tour, taste contemporary Boston fare and enjoy a different sample-size Sam Adams beer. These 90 minute tours are for private, family or corporate groups – reservations required.
Homeschool Day: Making History! | Plymouth | July 9
What is living history and how can it help us understand what happened in the past? Join Plimoth Patuxet Museum Educators 9:30 to 12:30pm for a hands-on exploration of the oral histories and traditions, objects, landscapes, and historical documents that tell us about the lives of English colonists, Wampanoag, and other indigenous people who lived on these shores in the 1600s. Then try your own hand at making history come to life.
Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival | Cape Wide | July 9-18
The Cape Cod Hydrangea Festival is an annual celebration of the region’s blue, pink, and white signature flowers and everything gardens on Cape Cod. This ten-day festival’s main attractions are the daily tours of private gardens, each designed and maintained by the individual homeowners and carrying a unique charm. You are sure to enjoy such eclectic spaces, not to mention the good feeling of supporting a variety of local nonprofits which will benefit from the proceeds of each tour. Each garden is open from 10am to 4pm on the days specified.

Sleeping Beauty, Briar Rose | West Harwich| Tues-Fri through July 16
The Cape Cod Harwich Junior Theatre Company inaugurates a new outdoor stage to celebrate their 70th season with the production of Sleeping Beauty, Briar Rose. Children will find the story enchanting while an older audience may find it whimsical. Performances are an hour starting at 6pm.
